LÖGDE RIVER

THE 192 KILOMETER LONG LÖGDE RIVER ORIGINS FROM LAKE GRANSJÖN (SPRUCE LAKE), AND IS SURROUNDED BY A COMPLEX OF LARGE MIRE- AND FOREST AREAS.THE UPPERMOST PARTS HAVE RELATIVELY LOW SLOPE AND ARE HENCE, CALM FLOWING. THE RIVER CHARACTER CHANGES AFTER JUST A FEW KILOMETERS, WHERE CALMER PATCHES IN COMBINATION WITH MURMURING WHITE WATER IS DOMINATING.

THE EASY-ERODED LAND HAVE ENABLED THE RIVER TO DIG DEEP AND HAVE HENCE CREATED VERGE SANDY RIVER BANKS. THE LAST KILOMETERS IS RELATIVELY CALM FLOWING, YET HEAVILY MEANDERING. THE TOTAL HEIGHT DROP IS 526 METRES FROM LAKE GRANSJÖN.
