LÖGDE RIVER

AND ITS MOST TRIBUTAIRES WILL BE RESTORED

THE 192 KILOMETER LONG LÖGDE RIVER ORIGINS FROM GRANSJÖN AND IS FIRST SURROUNDED BY A HUGE COMPLEX OF MIRE- AND FOREST AREAS.

THE UPPERMOST PARTS HAVE RELATIVELY LOW SLOPE AND ARE HENCE, CALM FLOWING.

THE RIVER CHARACTER CHANGES AFTER JUST A FEW KILOMETERS, WHERE CALMER PATCHES IN COMBINATION WITH MURMURING WHITE WATER STRETCHES ARE DOMINATING.

THE EASY-ERODED LAND ENABLES THE RIVER TO DIG DEEP AND THUS CREATE VERGE SANDY RIVER BANKS. THE LAST KILOMETERS ARE LOW FLOWING, YET HEAVILY MEANDERING.
